The Challenge
IntraFind partner comundus GmbH was commissioned to implement an intranet for the customer based on Liferay 6.2. In the future up to 25,000 employees at different sites will access it.
Liferay was rolled out for the first of the 460 sites in approx. 42 countries with different languages. Our partner comundus worked with Rhenus to develop its employee portal “MyRhenus” based on the Liferay portal solution.
Our Solution
The iFinder enterprise search solution indexes structured and unstructured content from company-wide data sources and is therefore the central starting point for searching for and finding relevant information. Employees are able to conduct their search easily thanks to the very high-quality text and language processing (linguistics) of iFinder.
Our partner comundus developed a connector for this purpose, which connects Liferay to iFinder and allows for the transfer of data from Liferay to the search. The content is presented to the user via iFinder and clicking on a hit opens the result in the corresponding application.
