IntraFind, a specialist in enterprise search and artificial intelligence, is adding new features to its generative AI tools, iAssistant and iHub. With iAssistant, employees are now able to organize complex research projects in a dedicated workspace. At the same time, IntraFind is bringing iHub directly to where generative AI is needed every day—such as in Microsoft Outlook.

Based on the iFinder AI search engine, iAssistant provides answers and summaries from internal company sources that users are authorized to access. IntraFind has now expanded this chatbot to include a permanent workspace for complex research and ongoing tasks. Dialogues, task context, and source documents used are retained there, allowing employees to continue their research step by step and review and trace the results at any time. The iAssistant independently plans the necessary steps: from search and document analysis to the consolidation of results. In doing so, it always operates within the company’s defined knowledge sources, access rights, and rules. 

In addition, role-based profiles can be set up in the iAssistant for different departments such as support, legal, marketing, or research. Administrators can define appropriate knowledge sources, the AI’s response behavior, and metadata for each department. Teams can therefore start working immediately with the relevant knowledge context in place and automatically receive answers tailored to their roles and tasks.

These features are complemented by integrated guardrails. They automatically check inputs and responses in the background for attempts at manipulation, such as prompt injection or jailbreaks. Thanks to this robust security, iAssistant can be used by companies and government agencies even in sensitive environments.

iHub as an Outlook Add-in

With iHub, which is available free of licensing fees, IntraFind offers a second generative AI tool. While the iAssistant accesses internal company data directly, the iHub provides general-purpose AI micro-apps for text generation, translation, or summarization, which are primarily based on large language models (LLMs). It thus serves as a universal creative and analytical assistant for standard tasks, deliberately leveraging the capabilities of an LLM.

The iHub is now available as an add-in for Microsoft Outlook on Windows and macOS. Users can transfer emails, including attachments, directly from their inbox to the iHub to summarize, analyze, and translate them, or to generate suggested replies. This allows the tool to be efficiently integrated into existing work environments. Further integrations, such as with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams, are already planned.
